Information Technology Leaders (ITL) ITOC

The members of the IT Leaders committee (ITL) meet together with the shared vision to enhance the impact and value of technology at the Claremont Colleges. While the academic missions of the Colleges should drive the use of technology, The ITL strives to be proactive in enabling innovative uses of technology.

Members of the IT Leaders committee explore common areas of interest and concern as well as common solutions to problems, not limited to TCCS and/or consortial matters. The ITL’s agenda will thus be highly varied and changing. As a place for information sharing and idea generation, the ITL should continuously strive to be transparent and consider new opportunities for potential collaborative projects.

Each of the Information Technology Leaders represents the priorities of his/her institutions with regard to IT efforts. In addition, each has a unique and legitimate role with regard to plans of all departments and functions at the colleges that impact and rely on those common parts of our information technology infrastructure. These days, myriad items across TCC have an IT component. The IT Leaders will thus review those plans that may have potential downstream IT effects, and when necessary, escalate identified issues to the ITSC or other appropriate body. Throughout its endeavors, the ITL will work cooperatively with other intercollegiate committees to coordinate decision making on projects and/or services that may require IT resources.
